Red(omena) apples are widespread throughout Finland. The one in Turku has the peculiarity of having been designed by Alvar Aalto himself! There is no reception, reservations are made via the Internet and you access your room by a code. It is also possible to take a room on the spot with your credit card. The result is not bad at all: clean, spacious and well-arranged rooms with equipped bathroom, TV, a small fridge, hairdryer. Their main asset: their hotels are always located in the city centre, often near railway stations.
