NOTRE DAME CHURCH
This church is one of the emblems of the city with its particular silhouette.
The history of this church is not trivial: in 1440, the English began the construction of the present church in granite from Chausey, brought in on barges. Its construction lasted for three centuries, until 1771. Among the curiosities, the tombstones that cover the floor of the church: most of them are the graves of former Granville families who had bought the right to be buried under the pews that were reserved for them. Today, the particular silhouette of this church makes it one of the emblems of the city!
