The Musée de France is home to olfactory kiosks where you can discover the different fragrances of the House of Dior.
The museum is only open during its sublime temporary exhibitions. After "Les trésors de la collection" (treasures from the collection), which featured 30 years of acquisitions and was a huge success with thousands of visitors, and the "Chapeaux Dior" event in 2022, the museum delighted us in 2023 by exploring the various creative facets of this couture genius. In 2024, come and push open the door of this museum located in the couturier's childhood home, acquired by his parents in 1906 and then by the town in 1932, now dedicated to celebrating the local boy, on the heights of the town. Called "Villa Les Rhumbs", the bright pink villa is sublime. The magnificent garden, the work of Christian Dior's mother, has been restored to its original state. Olfactory terminals allow visitors to discover the different fragrances of the House of Dior. The ephemeral tea room, with garden furniture designed by the artist, is a further invitation to contemplation. Regular guided tours, exhibitions and readings make this a cultural venue not to be missed in Granville. This year, the exhibition "Christian Dior, couturier visionnaire" invites you to discover a new selection of the collections. Last but not least, the site has been awarded the "Musée de France" label, and offers exceptional views. A word of advice: plan your visit well, and book your tickets in advance if possible!
