Konttaniemi Reindeer Farm is a family-owned business located along the picturesque Ounasjoki River, just seven kilometers from Rovaniemi. It has a special atmosphere with the seasonal changes specific to the Arctic Circle. Here you will learn about reindeer husbandry, its history and its adaptation to modern life. You will also enjoy the various activities offered, such as a safari or a short walk with these robust animals. Open by reservation only, requests must be made at least the day before by 3pm. This is just my opinion, but I didn't think the reindeer looked happy or content. It's not their habit to pull people all the time. I prefer it when they are in the wild.
I recommend for families like the sled dog.
