This agency is also present in Santa Marta and is specialized in adventure tours in the Guajira Peninsula. On board of good 4x4, the professional guides will make you discover this region with spectacular landscapes, between Caribbean sea and arid desert. Breathtaking sites but which are deserved, between sandy tracks, dust, heat... A unique adventure in Wayúu country, in the best security conditions. A reliable and well-tried agency, which will make you live intense moments with guides in love with the destination.

For starters, you mostly cross through Wayuu territory and see a lot of people begging. The agency claims it has good relationships with the local people but still the driver (whom himself seems to be of Wayuu descent) pays toll with packets of cane sugar and sachets of water at every checkpoint. It would have been a lot more interesting if we had learned about the Wayuu people, their customs and why there are so many of them that have resorted to begging. Additionally, I would have hoped to learn about the handicrafts that they sell. Where are they made and where do the patterns come from. Currently it could just as well be that they’re selling a bunch of bags from Chinese sweatshops.
A second point that I think deserves improvement is the flora and fauna. Since this is a unique biotope in Colombia, many animals only live here. I would have liked for our guide to explain more about that. It doesn’t have to a David Attenborough-tour, but a little background on the flamingoes, the mangrove forest, desert goats and luminescent algae would definitely have been a solid addition.
Lastly: sadly, it is impossible to miss the insane amount of garbage everywhere and there is the biggest open coal mine of South America here. It would be good if information had been given on how these two factors have impacted the environment and the local people here.
Tl;dr nice nature, underwhelming experience overall
