GUILDE SAINT-SEBASTIEN
Museum exhibiting old documents, paintings and silverware, including a painting by Van Dyck, located in Bruges.
The house of the San Sebastian Crossbow Guild is a remarkable example of civil architecture. Originally, this was a clique of the city's bourgeoisie who practiced the bow, and later the crossbow, for defensive purposes. Today, the Great Oath of the Archers of San Sebastian is an archery club. The Kings of England have been honorary members since Charles II was exiled to Bruges in 1656. The museum exhibits ancient documents, paintings (including a work by Van Dyck) and silverware.
