PROVOST OF ST. DONATIAN
Baroque style building harmoniously integrated into the cellars of the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza
The former seat of the lordship of the provostry of St. Donatian is a building in Baroque style (1665-1666), with an elegant façade decorated with allegorical sculptures. The ambulatory of the church choir was rediscovered in 1988 during the construction of the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza Hotel. It has been harmoniously integrated into the hotel's cellars. Nearby is the Lovers' statue, a symbolic allusion to the loving couples who come to marry at the town hall.
