ANGEL ISLAND FERRY
The Angel Island-Tiburon Ferry Company is a private ferry service, which connects the Tiburon Ferry Terminal to the Ayala Cove Ferry Terminal on Angel Island. The ferry runs every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas. It takes 12 minutes to get there. There are two to four rotations per day depending on the day and the season. For the record, the company has been owned and operated by the same family since 1959. Originally, founder Samuel McDonogh made his living hunting ducks and geese on McDonogh Island in Petaluma.
