This restaurant, famous for its Japanese and continental cuisine, is also known for the beauty of its surroundings. Along the Hollywood hills, it faces the city (side Westside). Its authentic th-century pagoda imported from Japan is the centrepiece surrounded by a unique set of pools and waterfalls.

I purposely surprised my friend at this restaurant for her birthday and she was glad. We all love the ambiance, food, and service of this restaurant. The server was super kind and the restaurant was clean. Food was good and plenty of places to take pictures. Will come back in the future.

It is a beautiful location and the food is very good, although I think some of the sushi items especially the shared items seem very $$$ by any comparison to other fine dining sushi restaurants.

I gave our experience only 3 stars because we got seated in a back room even though we were celebrating an event and there were plenty of tables with better views, which we got to sit in after requesting and going the whole process of ' let me check'.

There was a security concert over a fight that started between two guests. The restaurant did very little to stop it in the beginning, and this all event could have turned very ugly.
The restaurant has security on site, but it's for the ' trendy' bar which you are not allowed to enter without making a reservation on Instagram (?) ????????????.
Saying that, that security guard didn't show up to resolve the issue, which he should have. By the type of security it seems that those fights are maybe a on going thing at their establishment.
