This restaurant, famous for its Japanese and continental cuisine, is also known for the beauty of its surroundings. Along the Hollywood hills, it faces the city (side Westside). Its authentic th-century pagoda imported from Japan is the centrepiece surrounded by a unique set of pools and waterfalls.

The drinks were great, delicious, and looked nice/fun. The food itself was delicious. Though, when we ordered everything at the same time, one entree came out, and then 20 minutes later, the appetizer and other entree came out. Definitely was expecting a staggered meal. I didn't think at this caliber restaurant I'd have to distinguish that myself.
The pricing of everything made me uncomfortable. Some items were to be expected, $20-30 range, but others ranged $60+, $80+, even as much as $180+. If this restaurant is worthy of such prices, I'd expect the rest of the experience to be nothing less than exquisite.
All in all, it was nice and I had a good time with the company I was with, but I doubt I'll go back again.
