Right on the Venice Boardwalk, this charming restaurant is an ideal vantage point for the many artists and misfits that roam the neighborhood. Since it opened in 1978, Fig Tree has been a family-owned neighborhood institution, blending Latin roots with Pacific Rim influences. It has a tempting menu, with a focus on breakfast, between plantain pancakes and chilaquiles. Also on the menu: a dozen or so dishes to be enjoyed at lunch or dinner, ranging from chicken and avocado to burgers.

I have been here probably 20 times. I love the atmosphere but what I don’t like are the sizes of the meals. Pasta Mare for 26 USD and probably the size of an appetizer. Adressed it to the waiter but no real follow up or small gesture. Sorry guys! Money is important but this is not ok.
