One of the latest members of the Third Wave Coffee movement in Silver Lake has settled in one of these developing streets, Hoover Street. Here, the coffee is South American, authentic, generous, creamy and perfectly roasted. Sheltered from the sun under a canvas stretched out in the patio, you can relax alone or with friends, away from traffic. Latin and tamale atmosphere (steamed cornbread, stuffed with meat, cheese and vegetables) from Oaxaca for breakfast... a dolce vita toute angeleno.

Good environment to get some work done

Why would you not have regular milk options other than whole milk????

Just one container of nonfat for anyone who doesn’t want heavy af milk or an alternative that’s not milk for their coffee seems beyond reasonable of an ask.

this is my favorite location. The place is so tranquil and I love their “HOOVER WILDERNESS” ???? ???? patio area. There’s nothing like being surrounded by plants ???? I had the turkey sandwich which is made with croissant bread (had the perfect balance of softness), their Coquito ???? iced drink (it’s like a horchata vanilla twist drink❤️) and the chai latte (he best chai I’ve ever had????!)

Pros: The patio is cute and you can almost always find a place to sit and work. Street parking is usually pretty easy to find too.

Cons: Coffee’s mid at best and the staff has a knack for making you feel like placing an order is an inconvenience for them. If this wasn’t a convenient spot to meet up to talk shop I wouldn’t come here.

Some of the reviews here puzzle me, the staff has always been kind and cordial in my experience. The real highlights here for me are the atmosphere, cold brew, and pastries. All of which are remarkable. I'd go as far to say they might just have the best cold brew in the city. Pair it with the matcha scone take a bite and a sip and find yourself floating to flavor town lol.
