Located between Santa Monica and Venice, this large modern loft serves as a restaurant, bar, café and bakery-pastry shop, just like that! Different spaces allow you to choose your environment according to your mood, although we recommend one of the three terraces of the restaurant. The kitchen is part of the decor and we have fun observing the skill of the cooks surrounded by steaming pots. The cuisine is typical of what is found in California with some Asian and Mediterranean touches for some dishes. Brunch is the attraction of the week and welcomes a rather trendy clientele but also families. Although there is space, it is advisable to arrive early or to book if you go there on a Sunday.

Great ambiance, food, service and great location! A great experience to remember!

Relaxing place to grab brunch or lunch in Venice. They changed their chefs though and the food just isn’t as good. The avocado toast is terrible which is a really hard food item to mess up. Cheeseburger was ok. For the price you can get a lot better food all around Venice.

We sat in the bar area which is fine, but you order at the bar so no server. We had a salad, mushrooms on toast and a roast chicken - all were side-plate sized. They wouldn’t add chicken to the salad and it wasn’t served together. The salad was literally half a bag of arugula, 4 segments of orange and a handful of pumpkin seeds for $15 (before tax). We ordered 2 alcoholic drinks and a lemonade and with the tip it came to $140. Terrible value, the mark up was extortionate. We ate right by Santa Monica pier and it was nowhere near as expensive and had decent portions. Really disappointing!

Visiting from Boston. Restaurant came highly recommended. My wife ordered tuna sandwich and I ordered turkey sandwich, requesting they serve it with only the lettuce and if possible American cheese. I explained a medical issue was why I ordered it that way. I was told by waitress she needed to check with chef to see if they could do that. She came back to table and apologetically told me they couldn’t modify the sandwich and couldn’t serve it as I asked it to be. Nothing was offered in place so we said we’d have to leave. Walking out, I asked for manager. A woman identifying herself as the GM confirmed that no modifications were allowed per policy regardless of the situation. I restated that it was a medical issue and that my cancer treatment limited what I could eat and that I needed to eat the sandwich as requested. With indifference she said no modifications and walked away. I can’t rate the food but I can tell you I’d never recommend this place. Not even sure if denying me the modification is legal, but is clearly bad business. Too many other options in area and no need to support this establishment. Spread the word if you agree.
