Extremely slow service so be ready to order all at one time when the server comes. The food is OK, but not worth the price. Nothing is particularly juicy or seasoned. It’s passable but doesn’t taste authentic to a real Japanese yakitori joint

Amazing Japanese style Izakaya. I thought myself being in Japan. Dishes are high quality and not so expensive.
There are also variety of Japanese beverage including beer, Sake.

Some of the best chicken I’ve had in the area. Furaibo has a unique interior that transports you to Japan, and a wonderful staff that was nice and courteous. Great for budget and quality.

Stumbled upon this place while looking for something for lunch at around 11:00. A.m. Most places weren't open as this area has a slow start. I came in here with a group of four. We had to wait till the restaurant opened. But they were nice enough to allow us to sit down with some waters.
We ordered a cutlet curry, mushrooms, kimchi fried rice. Hanpen cheese. Chicken kaarage. Teba and chita lunch combo (recommend by server). And a side order of the croquette.
The cutlet curry tasted pretty good. Better than the curry over rice down the street at curry house. (But not better than the curry udon ????). Chicken kaarage, hanpen cheese and croquette were very tasty and I'd order them again.
However, the teba and chita lunch combo , was a terrible recommendation. I think each of us took a bite out of the wing and put it down. The leg was pretty tasty though, so I'd recommend getting that if you want something savory.
Now the dish that I was most excited for was the biggest disappointment. I don't even know how they can call what they served. Kimchi fried rice because there was no kimchi flavor. There was no kimchi, it wasn't even spicy.
For enjoying half of the things we ordered here. I wouldn't be back for a second try. I'll take my business elsewhere unfortunately.

This is a hidden gem on Sawtelle Blvd. the food was delicious with a friendly staff. No waiting, just walked in and sat down. I went for the yakitori beef, GYU beef with garlic and GYU teriyaki. Great for sharing in a big group.

Yakitori was just okay. Needed for seasoning/sauce. The chicken wings were good.

Coming off the street and you immediately notice its dark and moody inside. Looks like a place straight out of Tokyo urban landscape. The Chicken wings were great, we got the straight outta the fryer, piping hot. The sauce although advertised as spicy was more tasty and savory. The Sizzling Rib eye was tender and the ponzu sauce stepped it up a level. Panko Fish Filet dinner box which had a variety of bites. Seaweed salad, Japanese Miso Salad, a potato stew, katsu chicken, crunchy fish filet and miso soup. A hearty meal for sure.

Can’t beat the dry rub chicken wings here. They have the perfect umami flavor. This is a no frills restaurant with great food and great Japanese beer selection.

So me and my girlfriend planned to come here as a treat for the weekend and we came specifically for the cheaper lunch menu options. As we finished our meal my girlfriend had pulled out the only cash we had which was just enough to cover our bill.
We paid and got our change back and we decided to head out and as soon as we walked out a manger I'm assuming came to confront us about why we didn't leave a tip. She told me this wasn't McDonalds and that we can't just pay for our meal and we need to leave a tip.
Now for me this really made me upset as I understand tipping is a hot topic but, I didn't have any cash on me and my girlfriend had the only cash to cover the meal and that was it. I do usually tip at most restaurants too but I was strapped for cash this once.
What I'm trying to say is, if some students had decided to eat here after school and they had planned it, would they be chased out for being high schoolers? I found this very immature to follow us out and if I had not had this situation I would've tipped next time I came here but sadly, I cannot in good faith support that type of behavior.
The food was good but this also reflected on how I viewed the tipping situation, we had chicken wings and chicken skewers.

Our favorite izakaya restaurant on the Westside! Love the food and overall casual, cozy ambience of the restaurant. Parking for customers is convenient and available in the back of the restaurant.

I ordered the Tarzan chicken with a yaki onigiri.
The chicken is greasy and dry, not very well seasoned, either.
And be careful of the yaki onigiri! It's not grilled but BURNT, and made the table smell acrid, sour, and of course burnt.
The staff works hard but gives lots of attitude, so if you want to cancel an order, get ready for lots of sass.
Overall, the atmosphere was hostile, which was very odd... maybe go to the one in torrance. Good luck!
