The location is rustic with its large wooden panels and almost reminiscent of a Japanese tavern. Clients are easy to discuss between themselves, all installed around a single big table. Descriptions of the dishes are written in Japanese calligraphy, for sake and seasonal dishes.

Ordered a take out. I think too expensive given the food quality. Ginnan is good.

The place is very dirty, I even don’t want to eat my order. The waiters ignore me and was very rude, thats was first and last time that i go there.

A go-to for casual/late night dining and yummy comfort food! Sasaya is a cozy and authentic izakaya that offers a variety of Japanese tapas and drinks. Their kushiyaki is especially good and their prices are reasonable (for today's standards). I personally like their system of ordering via tablet at your table and our usual waitress is always friendly, thoughtful and efficient. If you order takeout, the packaging is done with care and hot items remain hot for a while. Their desserts are also quite delicious! Highly recommend!

Best Izakaya around. Great skewers in particular. Staff is friendly and comfortable vibe.
I was not going to tip again just for a passive-aggressive staffer to transport a can of Coke from their fridge to my table that is right outside their BOH. I tried not tipping at all. Unbeknownst to me, the "waitress" (they don't take your order or check up on you while you eat) was watching me from behind, then interjected with a "I don't recommend you do that. I will have to make your order to go." I was baffled. I told her I already tipped for our actual bigger order. The Coke was just an after thought; a completely separate $3.86 check. I fought it. She begrudgingly backed down. She brought me a Coke with no separate cup for ice while my partner received an ice cup with his drink. Food was much too average for the energy wasted on tip-begging. Anything else neighboring Izakaya beats it in flavor and service.
If you want to be badgered for a tip then come here.
