Big Portions, Customized Bowls of Ramen... 7 levels of Spice of Soup Broth ranging from no spice, mild to extra extra spicy, Choice of Miso, Soy or Salt; Choice of Vegetarian or Pork Broth. Service and cooking time was fast. Famous for the Spicy Broth Challenge, wall of fame. Very Affordable, Quality Japanese Fast Food

Good portions, fair price. You can get add ons to any bowl, even extra noodles, but tbh the kids meal portion is satisfying enough. A bit salty, though.

Best place for Ramen! Spicy chicken was so good, but the teriyaki chicken was the best. Great atmosphere and customer service.

Tasty ramen. There are 3 broth choices miso, soy, or salt based. I got the soy and it was perfect. Hefty portion. Parking garage in plaza and steer parking.

Cozy ramen shop with giant portions and a simple menu. Everything is flavorful and tastes fresh. Fun for a date, enough food for three meals.

I’ve been here so many times. It use to be my favorite. Not so much anymore. I was very disappointed in the service and the ramen was disgusting it had a nasty scent to it. Will not be returning.

もう10年以上前ですが、この辺住んでた時でラーメン食べたくなった時よく通ってました。思い出補正かもしれないけど、思い出すと結構本格的だったようなそうではなかったような。

Don’t fall for the five star reviews. This place is not that great. You can get way better ramen in Little Tokyo. Food is just basic.

Good ramen, but the service was not great. They got more than half of our tables orders wrong, and our main waitress was not so friendly. She did not personally distribute our drinks, but instead she asked us to pass them down to one another. However, another waitress took the time and effort to go around the table to serve us our missing drink.

Ramen so bad.

My friend and I spend our afternoon at Orochon Ramen and we were blown away by their gyoza, it was not dry at all! We ordered a second helping and a side of takoyaki it was incredibly savory. My ramen was built to perfection as I choose the soy sauce broth as the base, it already had cha-shu, hard boiled egg, bell peppers, with extra tofu pieces. Not at all salty and the medium impact spice ignited my tastes buds.

The experience was very bad due to the fact that the manager with grey hair and an accent told me we cannot drink outside drinks even if they were the exact same because they want us to buy theirs I had to leave and come back to drink my drink and eat my food I personally think he was being racist towards me because I’m Iranian he didn’t do that to anyone else

Ramen was like $15.50 and came with a couple toppings, not including some of the classic ones like an egg, charsiu slice, seaweed. You had to add those extra ones, almost all of which costed over a dollar each. The ramen wasn’t really decorated like one would normally expect either; the toppings were sunken under the noodles for some reason. It was pretty good overall though and the portions were very big.
Not the most spacious place but it was quaint. Bathroom was kinda weirdly located.

Big portion of ramen that you can choose extra topping and the level of spicyness. Located on the third floor, would recommend families with children.

In my opinion, the best ramen place, you can choose your level of spicy for your broth and the amount of toppings you want. I love the little plaza that you have to venture yourself into. And fun fact: the table has a side drawer with extra napkins and chopsticks!!!

There’s a lot of ramen shops in Little Tokyo and since Orochon is tucked away at the top of Weller Court, they have to do something to draw in customers. Their specialty is spice, with 9 levels of spiciness. They don’t really advertise special combos or topping sets, rather incorporate spice level as part of the order. They also have a Wall of Bravery for those challenging the top 2 spice levels!
We ordered the miso ramen, shoyu ramen, and a plate of takoyaki. Each of their ramen broths have a pork base as well, so this means more calories, sodium, and flavor. They also have a vegetable base as well. Their bowls don’t include cha shu, rather sliced pork belly which is very mid. Their broths are rich and there’s a good amount of noodles, but lots of bean sprouts. The takoyaki has a crispy exterior and a mushy interior.
I think the meal is average at an average price, but I would recommend the other ramen shops unless you’re going for the spice.
