South of Wilshire Avenue, Westwood Boulevard is a long succession of oriental restaurants and stores. The aroma of falafels leads you to Sunnin Leban Cafe. Among the specialties, we particularly recommend the moujadara - a lentil puree prepared with rice and caramelized onions - and the houmous kawarma - with beef fillet. Although the prices seem rather affordable, Lebanese food lovers will quickly run up the bill, curious to try several preparations.

I remember when i was visiting Beirut, I got out of the habit of looking up places before I try their food..the food is just good that no matter where you pick you'll enjoy it...and that's exactly what i can say about Sunnin!
I was received with a "genuine warm" smile, one that you miss in today's corporate world. Miriam, our server, was such a gentle, thoughtful, kind and fun person. It was my first time so I asked her to take me through the menu and her favorites...which were many! and so rightfully so!
Everything on the menu was made in house from scratch, even their Labneh! make sure you try their yoghurt drink!
we started with KEBBEH MAKLIYEH and KEBBEH NAYEH, which usually other places never get right, They were both amazing and quite appetizing , so we ordered more!
Their BEEF KEFTA IS THE BEST I EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! TABOULEH was so flavorful we couldn't get enough.
Their STUFFED SQUASH & EGGPLANT was cooked to perfection!
As much as I was so full and couldn't eat anymore, but I had to try their desserts, and I am so glad we did!
I ordered a cup of Turkish coffee and OSMALIEH...this OSMALIEH was from heaven! not too sweet, and so easy to eat, it just melted in my mouth!
Honestly I am so glad I found this place, and staff's middle eastern kindness certainly elevated our experience that Sunday afternoon!
