Phenomenal, everything was delicious. Went for dinner and we were not disappointed. The beans in many dishes were cooked perfectly and created a nice base of flavor and texture. The salmon was also cooked perfectly. Nice variety of flavors and great service.

My friends said this place sucks and gave them food poisoning. READ THE OTHER REVIEWS!

We’re on the East Coast and saw a clip on your restaurant. Our son lives in LA. We’re coming in April/ May for the Persian crispy rice. See ya’ soon!

One of the best meals we’ve had in LA!

The food is not good not bad, it's ok. You have to order a series of dishes in order to get a full meal, it's very difficult to find someone who shares your taste in food to share everything like that. The waiter named Carrie was super nice a little busy but nice, the other one shaved big muscled guy was either really tired or had a bad attitude in general, not very welcome, like if Regina George was working there. The layout is very packed and it gets loud, we got a table in the middle of other two groups, when I say in the middle is in the middle you are like 30 cms away from the other table, we had to move cause it was unbearable, like on of those family reunions with a bunch of loud kids, and everybody speaking loud to make themselves understood at the same time. We were two people trying to have dinner and a normal talk so it didn't really work out. There's no cocktails only wine. Dessert menu was OK, I got something like icecream/cheescake/cake/with marshmallow it was ok. I had to order the chicken to go because it took forever as we were being served after the 30 people group.

I was finally able to check off Kismet after months of passing by it after work.
The food was delectable and distinctive, and the service was great. The tahdig/persian crispy rice and the roasted maitake mushrooms were our favorites of the night. My boyfriend and I thought that some dishes could tone down on the acidity (like the carrot side dish). Overall, it was a solid dinner, and we would certainly be back to try the other offerings and the dessert menu.

This was a great recommendation from a friend who had been to Kismet. We had a great time. The food and service were just excellent.

NEW FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN LA! Or maybe in the world...each dish was spectacular aesthetically, and held an exquisite combinations of flavor. The ambience was calm and peaceful, and the tables for two were turned so that you were closer to the person you're with & you have more room to spread out on each side - genius. The host, the waiter, the person we mistook for our waiter, everyone was lovely and kind, guests included. Will definitely be back again. And again. And again.

Food was very delicious here, and the staff was very kind and accommodating. We had a large group of people so we went with a pre-fixe menu and it was great!

We had a few with dietary restrictions and they were able to accomodate for this as well.

UPDATE**** I THREW UP

Honestly, food was overrated and super expensive. We told them we didn’t love it, and they only comp’d for the rice. It’s honestly overrated, would’ve felt better if they actually recognized that it wasn’t a pleasant experience for us. I wouldn’t go there again, this is my first review in my life - think about the velocity of that statement

Three of us spent $270+ and probably 5% of the food was actually satisfying.

Pretentious! Save your money. LA has so much better food to offer than this - and that includes street food.

Ate here last night. Had pretty much everything on the menu (including both desserts!) and it was all incredible. Can’t recommend it enough. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. Vibes were great. Love kismet. Can’t wait to go back.

It was O.K but nothing special. Would not come back

Even though the food was quite tasty, and the atmosphere was good in the restaurant, five out seven people in our group got pretty severe food poisoning after having dinner there. Some barely recovered with medical help. I would never go to this place again. It was horrible being super sick and vomiting all night after dinner there. And I still haven't fully recovered after it. The worst food poisoning I ever had. They clearly have some problems with food quality control.

PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE AT AL COST! HAD A WORK DINNER HERE LAST NIGHT AND EVERYONE IS DEATHLY ILL. We have been up all night leaking from every possible orifice. Worse part is I’m the director on a shoot and I’m still in bed. I can barely stand.

10/10 experience dining at Kismet. I was already a fan of Kismet Rotisserie, and was very excited to try dining in at Kismet. A fabulous meal and excellent service.

Came to Kismet for the first time this past weekend and was super impressed. The food was delicious and the service was even better. Highly recommend checking out this local gem!

Incredible experience at Kismet. Everything was on point from the service to the ambiance. Here is a breakdown of the food we ordered:

Cucumbers- this is a great dish to start the meal. It is super light and refreshing, loved the zatar seasoning.

Lemony chicken pies- these pies are puff pastry stuffed with lemony chicken and pine nuts, super delicious!

Carrots- the carrots were super smoky with Moroccan spices. The sweetness of the carrots paired nicely with the spice, incredible dish!

Chile Chicken Skewers- the chicken was very moist and flavorful. Each order comes with 2 skewers, I could’ve definitely had more!

Persian Crispy Rice- this was my dish of the night. I’ve never had anything like it. The rice was buttery and had good texture with the crisped rice on the top. The rice was topped with currants and pumpkin seeds, a must have!

Overall, loved my time here. I can definitely see why it is a Michelin bib gourmand rated restaurant!

昨晚朋友約食飯,去食地中海菜,我在地中海兩個禮拜,完全未見過這些菜式,那唯有用全新的心情去試吓啦。
咁當然唔合我口味喇,雖然生意不錯,但係我真係唔識欣賞。

Sadly very disappointed. Was visiting from the East Coast, and had read a lot about Kismet so was excited to try. My friend and I got take-out and I went all out since I was on vacation and everything sounded great. It was so oily, and not flavorful. The flakey bread reminded me of a sponge- I wanted to wring it out and get the excess oil out. The crispy rice was similarly oily and not flavorful. The greens were overcooked. I actually made myself a peanut butter sandwich and didn't eat most of the food. Makes me appreciate Oleana in Boston and other authentic middle eastern spots.

I had a wonderful meal here last night with friends. We ordered a wonderful feast of veggie items. The waiter was super kind and shared his favorites and best options for us. We got the Persian rice that never misses, marinated feta, flaky bread, labneh, gem salad and some other dishes. I’ve been here many times over the years and always so good. Don’t miss out on the passionfruit cheesecake, a must!

Visited for the first time a few weeks ago. The dinner was spoiled from one server who was incredibly rude to my friend, who was visiting from overseas and simply asked about wifi. I asked to speak with a manager about this - and somebody came over - who was nonchalant and said “there was an incident earlier this evening involving him”. Very unexpected for a Michelin Bib restaurant.

Then, after a 4% surcharge for Employee Health, the waitstaff hands you an iPad to select a tip. The pre-selected options are 20%/25%/30%. Very bold, in my opinion, for service that isn’t extraordinary!

Kismet was just an absolute delight. Fresh and vibrant ingredient forward dishes, great wine selection and very kind service to boot!

Big recommend.
