Location is the only good thing about this hotel. Being a Hyatt loyal customer for years, not sure how this property is still on Hyatt list. Room is very very small! If you are traveling with another person, look elsewhere! How Hyatt has this hotel listed as category 5 is beyond my imagination. This is a category 3 at best! Very disappointing! Will not return again.

Great hotel. I loved the decor. The rooms were very clean and the staff was friendly. It’s within walking distance to some amazing restaurants (Flemings, Capital Grill and Sol Agave).

Location was amazing! Came here to stay for LA kings versus Canucks game. It was a walkable distance to the arena.

Room was amazing. Loved the decor. It looks very unique. I’m normally very picky with my stay and I usually feel grossed out by hotel. This hotel met my expectations. My room felt clean. Loved the washroom decor.

Extra freebie like coffee machine and nice water. Loved how you can use the coffee pods. It felt cleaner and hygienic to use.

I had trouble figuring out how to turn on shower hot water. I realized you need to push the button above the handle to push towards the larger number.

Pillows were too soft (not a good thing). I can handle it and it’s not deal breaker for me. Bed was comfortable. Slept well.

There’s a bar and seating area for food inside the hotel. We didn’t eat there. I took a look at it. It looks amazing. The atmosphere is great.

The only downside about staying in downtown. There isn’t much to do around this area (walkable distance). You have to have a car to drive to do activities. You can also say that it applies to other places in LA too. I wish LA was a more walkable distance to walk around and explore.

Another downside is usually you have to pay to park in LA. There isn’t a lot of free parking but you can be lucky to find them on the street for x amount of time. For this hotel, there are 2 parking options: 1) valet $49 / night as a hotel guest 2) self serve parking (forgot the cost) literally beside the valet parking.

We went with valet. Flat nightly parking rate. It gave us the flexibility to be able to drive out or in whenever we want. Bonus is that this hotel has charging for Tesla. ⭐️ which was really important to us especially we are driving all the time throughout on the trip.

Another negative about this hotel is the gym isn’t good. There are like a few equipment in an extremely small room. We tried to go to the gym. The room was already “full” with only 3 people working out. ????????

Overall, I would recommend this hotel. ✨

Excellent service, great people, super nice room and great amenities. Wow, just wow. Definitely will be my LA hotel of choice in all future visits. And so central to all the good food places. Unfortunately I didn't allow for enough time this trip to hit up Morton's. Might have to be a hobbit and make it a second dinner tomorrow.

The location is extremely close to the convention venues and many other convenient locations/food areas. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

There was one issue that did end up getting resolved during our stay. The previous tenant of the room who checked out apparently tripped the automatic smoke detection system they had in place and it ended up charging us as the next tenants.

We did have to end plans a bit early to go back and talk to staff but they ended up resolving this issue within minutes and made sure that I received a copy of the reversal of the charge.

I can't really fault the staff or the hotel for putting measures into place for detecting people breaking smoking policies but I do warn that things can slip through the cracks and to just talk with the staff members in a calm manner.

I still enjoyed my experience of staying at the hotel no matter.

Loved my stay! I stayed a single night in town to explore downtown and have a place to rest my head. As globalist I was exceptionally well treated to the hospitality suite (casa suite with one king) with 800 sq ft place in DTLA. It included a mini bar, and recovery equipment coming in very useful after a long run. I experienced excellent reception from the staff on a busy night with a Lakers game nearby. The food was okay at the breakfast restaurant in the morning, but there are so many options in the vicinity that would be worth exploring. I am a solo traveler, but felt right at home staying on the 12th floor. Gym was okay, but there was plenty of running trails around that allowed me to get out of the hotel and get some activity in. I usually stay at the Intercontinental or Ritz in town, but I believe I will be staying here going forward. Excellent service!

Went with Hotel Figueroa since it was close to the Union Station as I needed to catch Amtrak for the second part of my travel. Booked the hotel via American Express, so got some additional perks. When I checked in, got upgraded to Junior Suite and $100 food and beverage credit, which I used at the hotel bar.

The room was large, bed was comfortable, the sofa was very soft when you sit, it sinks in lol. Since it's close to downtown, be careful when you explore the area, while there are lot of homeless people around, they won't bother you, but still be mindful when you walk around. There's also lot of food trucks around the hotel, so you have few food options. Overall, had a great 3 nights, the staff were friendly and welcoming.

This is the 3rd and the last time I'll stay here. Usually they are very kind and accommodating, and the restaurant was just wonderful. But the restaurant is now closed for business and they put me in one of their worst rooms.. the bed is terribly uncomfortable and its so loud in the hallway outside my room. I asked to be moved, and although I can easily see they have rooms available, they refused. I guess if your new to this hotel, they will treat you better, but for return customers like me.... not so good at all. Sad and disappointing

"Suite" is right next to lobby restaurant, very noisy sound travels to room, can hear water pipes in ceiling constant sound. Windows are double paned no sound from outside, better that inside noise pollution

This is not a hotel for business travelers. Room was under equipped (no desk, or overhead light), so it was super dark even with lamps on. This was also the smallest hotel room I've ever seen (I've worked in hospitality for six years). I noticed older hotels like this will convert larger spaces into multiple rooms. Very tight; I literally couldn't even open my suitcase. You come to places like this with an overnight bag, not a suitcase. The lounge is likely the draw for this place; it's stunning. Restaurant staff are the best part of the place, although the menu is quite slim. I have no idea why this placed was recommended to me. Very disappointing.

Hotel Figueroa is the ONLY hotel that doesn’t skimp on service. Daily housekeeping after Covid?? Who still does that? They do. If you’re lucky enough to have Sandra Cartagena as your room attendant, thank your lucky stars. She went above and beyond in making sure my room was clean and well stocked for me when I got back. Management, she’s a keeper and I hope you take good care of her!
Most comfortable bed, spacious room (#522), charming and awesome history. Walk in shower with pebble floors and spacious counter space was wonderful! Every worker from the door guy, front desk, security, waiter, to my awesome housekeeper had great customer service. Kudos to your Management team. The coffee bar in the mornings is a huge plus too!
Hallways are a bit creepy, coffin shaped pool (wow) but as soon as you get into your room, it all changes. I could fully relax. Worth every penny.

The rooms are incredibly dark which is probably to hide how old they are. The hotel in general looks tired and the ownership group is also tired. They run out employees trying to unionize. There are plenty of hotels in DTLA that are nicer looking.

Globalist. Stayed here previously and there were a few changes with the on-site restaurant but I'll explain that later. The rooms were very nice and comfortable with a great view. Decor was very nice. The noise level can be moderate at times; we kept hearing strange noises at night. Could be the age of the building or the pipes or maybe it's haunted ????? The front desk staff are cordial and friendly overall, but they were clueless when it came to what was going on with the restaurant. They actually told us to go ask the restaurant what their rules were with Globalist breakfast and their amenities rather than knowing what they should know about the property. Found that weird since there seemed to be 100 people working the desk but yet no one knew? Disappointing as it's their job to know the property. Valet service was great - fast, efficient and friendly but pricey. Current state of the on site restaurant: New company took over and the hours and menu were significantly reduced. However, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and the service was great. Still recommend eating on-site for sure even though I found their previous menu and policies to be more to my liking. Hopefully they will rebalance operations in the restaurant soon. Still recommend this location for a stay.

Long ago I stayed here. The building still have the art deco bones with a wonderful makeover. The room is smaller, but cozy. Quaint, bohemian and modern. There are a few details that may require some improvement, but a wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of Downtown LA.

Nice 3.5 star hotel. My room was spacious and it came with a coffee maker and fridge. My coworkers said the queen rooms were very small. So book a king if you need the space. The gym was very small, only about 2-3 people can work out at a time. The hotel is located right next to staples center, LA live and the convention center. Plenty of food and entertainment to hold you over each night.

This beautiful, historic hotel comes with incredible service. Every staff member I encountered was welcoming and helpful. My room was meticulously maintained by housekeeping and well stocked. They went above and beyond in all ways to ensure my stay was incredible. As with many historic hotels, the rooms may not be the most spacious, but it makes up for that in character, experience, and comfort. I couldn’t recommend Hotel Figueroa more and will consider this my only choice for any future downtown LA visits.

Very enjoyable extended weekend stay at HF. Central location, close to Crypto Arena and other downtown LA venues/attractions. Service was exceptional from valet, to front desk, restaurant, and housekeeping.
Vintage property with lots of character, nice common areas. Valet parking is worth the price for the area.
I’m sure standard rooms are small, stayed in a Figueroa Suite, which was good size, very comfortable.
