SAGA MOTOR HOTEL
Charming hotel on historic Route 66 that has a nice little garden in the back and a pool, with free wifi
The Saga Motor Hotel is located on historic Route 66, just minutes from the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens. Built in 1959 by famed architect Harold Zook, this boutique hotel stands out in the landscape with its tall palm trees and Moorish-inspired neon sign, the same one that attracted many motorists in the glory days of Route 66. In addition to the usual services, all excellent, you will find a pleasant garden and a beautiful swimming pool. Wifi and parking are free.

The service is phenomenal. The staff were friendly, gave us food recommendations, and a few tips on things to see that you don't hear about just doing internet searches. The breakfast in the lobby is simple, but its great, because when you are on vacation, you get enough big special meals. A banana and a yogurt or a doughnut was perfect.
The rooms are definitely old motel rooms. No stains or smells or anything, just simple, bathroom a bit small, only one pillow each on the beds, that sort of stuff. And the pool right outside the door was great!
Thanks so much for everything, Saga!
