In the heart of the lively Gaslamp district, it is the place to go if you are homesick or just want to eat well. Here everything is homemade, chef Eric supervises the pastry and bakery part, Ludivine, the owner takes care of the salty menu. We enjoy brunch, salads, sandwiches and pancakes, gourmet pastries and pastries. In the evening, it is a wine bar with plates of cold meats and cheese. They were voted "best desserts" by San Diego Magazine in 2019.

El lugar es bonito y la comida deliciosa. El servicio es muy lento.

As someone with a heavy French background, I always look forward to exploring bakery shops in my travels. Parfait Paris hit the spot. Certainly, some offerings are adapted to local tastes, but the pastries, in particular, are of very good quality, and the croissants above average. Definitely a good option for breakfast/lunch in the Gaslamp District. If you’re looking for a boutique pastry shop heavily invested in the artisanry of a patisserie/boulangerie or a place to transport you to France, I can see how you could leave slightly disappointed. But, for a chain bakery looking to appeal to wider audiences, I really do think Parfait Paris does a very solid job. Recommended.

Got the almond croissant and the brookie. Both very heavy but tasty. Coffee was meh.
