La Barberie is a whole ecosystem! A few kilometres from Saint-Lô, this vast farm is located in the middle of the countryside. The figurehead of the place is Mamie Germaine, who doesn’t let herself be counted, and has seen a good number of travellers pass through here. She offers a nice gîte for 7 people, but also nice guest rooms. Beyond that, Germaine’s sons are not lacking in inventiveness: a bakery and an incubator for ecological agricultural projects exist here, in order to give everyone a chance, and to transmit precious knowledge.
