Put into service some fifteen years ago, the dam is one of the most important elements in the work to desilt the bay, which is now complete. The structure was designed by architect Luc Weizmann as a place to contemplate Mont-Saint-Michel, and it's true that the view is splendid. Strollers stroll over a promenade-bridge overlooking the eight gates that regulate the flow of the Couesnon. A beautiful work of art that reflects the history and culture of the site.
