PONTHERGEE HOTEL
A hotel built in 1554 featuring an unusual double portal with Renaissance-style buttresses and delicate arabesques.
This hotel, built in 1554, has an unusual double portal, sculpted with its buttresses and delicate Renaissance-style arabesques. Listed as a historical monument in 1927, it is well worth a visit. If the place is still the property of a private individual, and thus cannot be visited, it gives right to a particular favour: each owner has indeed the right to his own burial in the church. To see this portal, you will have to go to the church of Notre-Dame, then walk about 300 meters: a small detour that is worth a look.
