THE OLD MANSIONS
Former mansions in Carentan-les-Marais that survived the Second World War, converted into a presbytery.
Carentan-les-Marais, like many other towns, suffered greatly during the Second World War, but miraculously managed to save a few jewels, such as the following mansions, which are indicated in the town: the Ponthergé mansion (built in 1554, it is the oldest!), the Dey mansion, the Lessey mansion and the Maillé mansion, which is now a presbytery. The whole is well worth a detour, which will allow you to spend a pleasant moment.
