Priméale is a major player in fresh vegetables in Europe. With its eight production basins in France and two in Spain and Portugal, the company - a subsidiary of the Agrial Group - offers a wide variety of vegetables from a local and seasonal production. Some of its products are labeled. The carrots of the sands obtained the Red Label and the asparagus of the sands the label IGP (Protected Geographical Indication).
History. The Agrial Group was born on June 21, 2000 from the merger of three Norman agricultural cooperatives: Agralco in the Manche, Coop Can in Calvados and Orcal in Orne. Several mergers took place afterwards, notably in 2009 with Union Set (Sarthe and Indre-et-Loire) and in 2011 with Elle & Vire (Manche). These mergers have greatly contributed to the development of the agricultural and agri-food group that Agrial has become today.
The products. Agrial's Vegetables branch is active in two areas: packaged fresh vegetables sold in bulk (known as 1st range), and ready-to-use fresh vegetables and plants, usually packaged in bags (known as4th range). Priméale is a major player in the first range of vegetables on the European market. The brand produces, packages and markets fresh seasonal vegetables. The production areas have been rigorously selected in the Val de Saire (Manche), the Pays de Créances (Manche), the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel, the Champagne and Beauce regions, the Val de Saône, the Nantes region, Provence and the Landes.
