The Timberyard was created by the Radford family in an old warehouse that has been completely renovated, although elements from the past have been incorporated here and there. The result is eclectic and very convincing. This is a "farm to plate" strategy, so you might as well say it's ultra-fresh, local and high-quality! Evening menus are available in 4, 6 or 8 courses. For lunch, there's a 5-course menu or à la carte. Outside, the terrace provides the same surprising effect, with metal furniture and the bricks of the building in the background.

We felt disappointed as Timberyard does come very well reviewed.
I did have the soft drink pairing & that was well done. Inventive & well paired flavours. In fact, I'd give the execution 5 stars!
Perhaps it was the menu on offer? I feel bad to write this review - as the presentation was lovely & you could tell effort had been put in.
Timberyard is not a total write-off, as the premises are historical & the vibe relaxed. Although the piping in of the cacophonic fiddles was grating & repetitive. And apparently one of the staff recorded sounds of their wine-making from their casks? This recording of "bloop-bloop" sounds is then piped into the bathroom. Most of us just want to have some peace & quiet in the restroom - not have odd sounds klaxoned into the loo. There's a time & place for creativity. Perhaps I was already on edge after listening to an hour of "new age" fiddling.
Servers are accomodating & enthusiastic about the food served but were difficult to hear over the aforementioned fiddles. But, no amount of explanation would have made the food taste any better, to be honest.
I regretfully cannot recommend this restaurant. And we were really looking forward to our experience. Perhaps really take a look at the menu on hand before giving it a try...
I particularly enjoyed the very American architecture and smart casual atmosphere.
