The Kitchin opened in 2006 and has been winning awards ever since. Tom Kitchin, its Michelin-starred chef, was a pupil of Alain Ducasse, and his French-inspired dishes are crafted from the finest Scottish produce. The house philosophy is "from nature to plate", so it's hardly surprising that the attention paid to raw materials ensures a truly epic culinary experience. The setting is very mineral, in shades of gray, blue and brown. Menus change with the seasons.

My boyfriend took me there for my birthday last night and I had the most amazing night! The staff was amazing, full of knowledge and kindness. The food was just as amazing as the service. We went for the prestige tasting menu with wine pairing and we were astonished by everything. The wines were always a great surprise and really interesting to try before the food and paired with the associated course. Everything was very subtle and beautifully done. Thanks for making me discover this world, for all the emotions we went through and again, thanks for making my birthday night so incredible!

The food was ok but not as good as would be expected, but the service was far too bad for a Michelin star restaurant . We ordered champagne and got it in the wine glasses as apparently the waiter said , they run out of champagne glasses !
So many mistakes with the right cutlery, serving us a dishes belongings to the next table etc .
After dining in Michelin star restaurant paying a bill (not small amount) you expect the staff to say “ Bye , thank you ! , unfortunately we left the restaurant unnoticed. Lots of mistake which shouldn’t be made in that kind of restaurant. We won’t recommend it to anyone else
