This famous chain of European hostels is essentially established in Britain. The édimbourgeoise is just as festive as others and seduced by its location just opposite the train station. The value for money is excellent, with a complimentary continental breakfast, and there are two public bars that depend on the hotel on the ground floor. The common spaces are not very large, but they are well arranged and there is always the world to meet to have a drink.

Staff is amazing!

Really great friendly staff and great location however room design didn’t make sense as the toilet lights are motion detecting and kept waking everyone in the room up. They also charge to keep your luggage which feels secure however the machine is confusing and only takes cash. The location is great though!

Nice hostel in the town

I loved staying at this hostel. Location’s great, there’s discounts at their bar for guests. It’s not high-end, but you’re definitely not paying for high-end so that’s okay. Rooms get cleaned daily (although not deep-cleaned), and hostel provides free activities to get to know other guests. I had a locker in my room, but apparently not every room does. I will definitely be staying in other St Christopher locations around Europe!

The sole best part of this hostel was its central location in the old town. Rest everything was miserable, first of all they have 2 buildings one with the reception is very old and other one is modern but lacks any amenities (No shower gel or soap in toilets and guess what to tell the staff u have to go to the other building). The toilets are shared in dorm and the ratio is very poor prolly 4 toilets in 5 or 6 rooms with so many people. Very basic cleanliness, congested rooms. Tbh it’s the worst hostel I saw in my life spent 4 nights here but didn’t feel like hostel their common room smells as if it’s never cleaned no couch or anything to sit. The fridge was full and not cleaned since ages. They charge 5/6 GBP for breakfast which is very basic and unhygienic (serve leftovers and frozen food, found moulds on bread) better go to snax or anywhere else in city u can get much better breakfast as similar prices. Now the staff is amazing informed them about the mould case they just asked me casually to throw it they didn’t even change the lot of bread.
