This famous chain of European hostels is essentially established in Britain. The édimbourgeoise is just as festive as others and seduced by its location just opposite the train station. The value for money is excellent, with a complimentary continental breakfast, and there are two public bars that depend on the hotel on the ground floor. The common spaces are not very large, but they are well arranged and there is always the world to meet to have a drink.

Nice staff. They even gave us free breakfast

The picture speaks for itself, I took off the cover of my duvet, and there was this ginormous yellow stain. Luckily, I had already spent the night sleeping with it. I took it to reception and they were just like oh I’m sorry. No remedy nothing. I mean what can you even do at that point? Also the room was freezing the entire night, I kept having to get the front desk to come and fix it. And when I told him it was cold he goes OK. and stare at me blankly. I was like, so what are you going to do about it? Heating in Edinburgh in March is not exactly optional.

It's okay for the price. Rooms are a bit crowded, but most people are just staying there for two reasons: work and travel. I would definitely bring your own towels and locks, as you have to rent otherwise or use coin operated lockers. The lounge has a kitchenette with a microwave, kettle and fridge, but if you want a more robust meal, you'll need to go to a pub or restaurant.
