COBRA MEMORIAL 1944
A Cobra memorial paying tribute to the heroes of the 1944 operations, with photos, written documents, maps, and paintings.
Few will remember it, amidst the noise of the 1944 operations, and yet this episode was decisive in the liberation of France. It was here, in fact, that the American VII Corps broke the lock on the enemy armies, enabling them to push southwards and deal a fatal blow to the Nazis. The Cobra memorial in the town pays tribute to this period and its heroes through photos, written documents, maps and paintings. It is open year-round to groups and from April to September to the general public.
