Hostel with hammocks, offering double rooms and suites with an improbable and particularly inspiring decoration
A huge youth hostel, unique in its kind, just like its owner, Djay's, an original artist. Hammocks and tents are arranged under vast hangars, and the whole is very well arranged. The double rooms and the suites, have an improbable decoration! The clientele is young, festive and finally very close to the rasta spirit of Puerto Viejo... In terms of entertainment, you will have the right every evening to a big wood fire accompanied by live music on the beach. Once a month, the Full Moon Party also allows you to let off steam.

Though the reception was often useless, either there was nobody or the guy there had permission to do nothing (store luggage, rent bikes).
Rocking J's location is clearly its strong point: its access to the sea-side through a path between beach and jungle is very nice and you can see monkeys and sloths there.
The only downside is the staff have us zero info on checking in and the vibe was quiet to the point of being a bit depressing
A unique experience, though.
