Highlights included:
- Gorgeous crystal clear pool, surrounded by trees where monkeys and birds often played
- Really nice poolside happy hour is offered as well, with an excellent bartender
- We had an ocean view suite and watched an incredible thunder storm over the water from our hammock and fell asleep to the sounds of waves each night
- A hearty breakfast is included
- Nice cold AC for wimpy Pacific Northwesterners
- Dennys helped us coordinate a great tour of the national park
- Easy walk to lots of good restaurants and shops
If you have the chance to stay here, do it! Great value for the price -- exceeded our expectations.
The room looks dated, and wasn’t cleaned properly when we arrived, and have some distinct smell to it. We complaint, and they sent someone to re cleaned the room. You will get lockable cabinet inside the room for your valuable, but they will charge you if you want to use the room safe. Breakfast menu is very limited, and the portion is small.
If you draw a straight line from the hotel to the beach “on the map” the distance is roughly 3000 ft, but we need to follow the road path, so the distance realistically around 1.5 miles of slope road. I believe this hotel as a whole is overrated. For the same price they charge, they have many other hotels in the area that will give you a better value for your money.
Update: Of course, the owner claimed I'm confused with other property. but it is what it is.
