HACIENDA GUACHIPELIN
Hacienda ideal for nature lovers, with 50 functional and comfortable rooms
A huge estate of 1,600 hectares, half of which is dedicated to the conservation of the tropical dry forest, the rest to grazing and reforestation. The property was acquired in 1975 by the famous Spanish cattle and horse breeder Tomás Batalla Esquivel. The Legacy suites are sublime! The main building, which is over a century old, houses the restaurant and overlooks the pool. Many activities are offered, and the very rustic spa offers a welcome break, with massages, mud baths, and then baths in three sulfur pools.

It’s best to have a car while here. The hotel map is very misleading. This area is very large and spread out. It’s a 10 minute drive from the rooms to the hot springs, spa, or national park entrance. You can arrange rides, but that seems like a hassle.
One drawback we had was loud neighbors coming back to their room late from the bar. I guess that is hard to avoid. Still, the rest outweighs that issue.
¡¡Nada de calidad!!
