This church has the particularity of blending the two great architectural styles, Romanesque and Gothic, in complete harmony.
Founded by Guillaume, it has the particularity of blending the two great architectural styles, Romanesque and Gothic, in complete harmony. Gothic and Romanesque blend together, and you can really feel the two influences of Brittany and Normandy. Inside, you’ll find a simple 13th-century altarpiece and a marvellous Renaissance stone altarpiece depicting Christ’s passion and resurrection. The façade, with its two Romanesque towers, is unique in Europe. A mysterious sculpture on the tympanum at the south entrance has yet to reveal all its secrets.
