LETENNEUR MAUSOLEUM
The site is now a picnic area with parking and tables.
In 1900, after making his fortune in commerce, Auguste Letenneur built his tomb, an unusual building, in his native village: La Rousserie. The monument attracts the eye, and it’s easy to see why: about thirty meters high, the place is topped by a tower-terrace. In the crypt were his tomb and that of his wife, but he had also thought to build a dining room and two rooms to accommodate his descendants. The site is now a picnic area with parking and tables. It can be visited by appointment.
