THE ROGER-RAVEEL MUSEUM
Set in a modern, white building, this museum showcases Roger Raveel's original work (1921) as one of the most prominent Belgian artists in post-war contemporary art. This fabulous collection consists of more than 300 paintings, 2 500 drawings and its graphic work. Both modern and timeless, his work cannot enter into any framework, in any known movement of Art History. Set on the edge of the Lys, Roger Raveel draws inspiration from his immediate surroundings, giving his works a universal dimension; it reveals a varied and exciting plastic language presenting a new reality.
