XAKANAXA CAMP
Xakanaxa camp on Mboma Island offers twelve tents, each with a wooden deck and deckchairs.
The Xakanaxa camp opened in 1952, a decade before the Moremi reserve. It has since been modernized. Twelve tents each have a wooden terrace with deckchairs. A boma, bar and large swimming pool complete the reception facilities. A second pool is right on the water's edge, where hippos can be seen. The staff are friendly and professional. The camp has a magnificent location. It's not unusual to come across baboons and guibs in harness! Exceptional game-drives are also organized.
