This fountain springs from the ruins of a priory destroyed by the English during the Hundred Years War.

Did you know that? Saint Benedict has been the patron saint of Europe since 1964 and... It is in the middle of a meadow in Videcosville that his beneficent waters flow. The Saint-Benoit fountain gushes out over the ruins of a priory destroyed by the English during the Hundred Years’ War. Its waters are reputed to cure, among other things, children suffering from purulent impetigo. No wonder the fountain has become a popular place of pilgrimage. Now it flows in the middle of a meadow. A beautiful statue of St. Benedict has been installed there.
