The most important religious building in the city is the Cathedral of the Assumption.

The Romanesque Cathedral of the Assumption is the town's most important religious building. All the grandeur of medieval Ventimiglia is evident in this superb edifice. Built on the foundations of a Carolingian church, it features a facade dated 1222 and 16th-century side chapels. At the back of the cathedral, the octagonal baptistery dates back to the 11thcentury . Inside, a majestic12th-century immersion basin has been preserved.
