LOGGIA COMUNALE
One of the pearls of Levanto's heritage, recognizable by its five semicircular arches.
Located in Piazza del Popolo, in the center of Levanto, the loggia comunale is one of the few examples of a commercial building still in good condition in Liguria. It is one of Levanto's heritage gems. Texts mention it as far back as the 13thcentury , and it was rebuilt in the 16thcentury . The loggia comunale can be recognized by its five semicircular arches. Initially used for commercial purposes, as the medieval port was not far away, it was later used to store the municipal archives until the 18th century.
