VIA GUANI
The most beautiful street of Levanto, once a street of shops and flowers.
Levanto's most beautiful street, formerly Via delle Botteghe e dei Fiori (Street of Shops and Flowers), was one of the town's main mercantile thoroughfares. It was not until the 16thcentury that a number of patrician dwellings were built on the site of the warehouses. You'll find two examples atno. 27 andno. 37 (Palazzo delle Sirene). The inhabitants of Levanto often refer to this street as Via dei Forni, because until the early 20thcentury , the village's bread ovens were located here.
