BARBEY D'AUREVILLY MUSEUM
Museum with many personal objects, including manuscripts that will not leave you indifferent.
Few know this, but Barbey d’Aurevilly was born here, in Saint-Sauveur-le-Vicomte, in 1808. It was therefore quite natural that the family home was transformed into a museum at the end of the 1980s. Over the years, the place has regained its splendour: total renovation in 2008, then, more recently, green spaces and now a new museography! It evokes the author and his era, but also the life of man, through numerous personal objects, including manuscripts that will not leave you indifferent. A passage here is essential.
