The D-Day Collins Museum, the last museum dedicated to the liberation of Europe, has opened in the exceptional setting of the Château de Franquetot, where General Collins set up his HQ in July 1944. Through historical reconstructions with period furniture, maps and mannequins, the atmosphere of the period is striking. A snack bar completes the visit. This museum, the fruit of the remarkable work of the Tanne couple, offers a fascinating plunge into history.

It was the command post of General Collins' 7th US Corps in July 1944, from where he prepared Operation Cobra with Generals Eisenhower, Bradley and Patton
