LE NAVIOT
On the banks of Thonon-Les Bains, Naviot first offers on sunny days, a large terrace outside, but do not hesitate to climb its stairs to discover in the heights, a beautiful wooden bar where you are welcomed with a smile, and two elegant dining rooms in a restaurant where you will quickly feel at home. Exposed ceiling beams and the white walls enhanced by paintings of sailing boats: no doubt we are in Naviot! And you imagine from this building dozens of years, carvings of fishermen with their nets and some lockers dried in the sun etc. Solid tables and bistro-style chairs add a personal touch to this restaurant where regular customers and passers-by meet. At Naviot, nothing is more natural than to be tempted by lake specialities: between féra and pole, and to start with a homemade terrine from the lake with two fishes, dory meunière fillet – well setup etc. where the fish bones pass! – and delicious homemade creamy tiramisu at your will with the necessary dose of sugar. For meat: loin of lamb with its thyme juice or why not a duck breast with mixed wine. And for the mountain – and of course at Haut Savoie, it is never too far –, savoyarde fondue always unveils its flavours of mixed wine and cheese – and why not be tempted for once by fondue with cheese or a steak, stove county cooked with garlic and parsley etc. A friendly establishment where one comes to experience extraordinary moments.
