PORT DIELETTE
Port-Diélette has become a country port, with all the amenities of a large town.
A port in the countryside, with all the amenities of a large town - that's Port-Diélette. Its origins date back to the 19th century, when a vast dike still exists. With its sandy beach, it was a delight for bathers. From the mid-1990s onwards, the site underwent a major transformation: a marina, accessible at high tide, was created to the east of the dike, with a fore-port basin where boats docked, particularly those carrying passengers to the Channel Islands.
