VICTORY CHAPEL
Chapel of the 12th century dedicated to Our Lady of Victory, which hosts the meetings of heritage and contemporary art.
This small chapel is dedicated to Notre-Dame de la Victoire. A limestone statue of the Virgin and Child, now in the Alleaume church, was once venerated here. This 12th-century Romanesque building is probably based on the remains of an ancient structure, perhaps an ancient Gallic temple. It was remodeled in the late Middle Ages and restored in the early 20th century. It is now owned by the town of Valognes. Every year, it hosts the Rencontres du Patrimoine et de l'Art Contemporain. Access is available during Heritage Days.
