VAUVILLE CASTLE

15th-century castle composed of two buildings, with a main building, mullioned windows, and a slate roof, to be seen from the outside
The 15th-century castle was built on the site of a 12th-century feudal building, of which the keep remains. The two buildings, made up of two bodies of housing built at right angles, were constructed at the end of the 16th century and the beginning of the 17th century. With its mullioned windows, large chimneys, and schist roof, the castle of Vauville remains one of the most beautiful examples of fortified houses in the Nord-Cotentin. Unfortunately, it cannot be visited, but you can still see it from the outside.
