Raised on the Gros du Raz rock, the Goury lighthouse is located 800 metres off the Cap de la Hague. It is after multiple shipwrecks caused by the violence of the sea that it was decided to build it, left by its last guardians in May 1990. At 48 metres high and with a range of 19 miles, or more than 35 kilometres, the Goury lighthouse signals the Cap de la Hague and the Raz Blanchard, one of the most powerful sea currents in Europe! The spectacle of the storms, which must be admired with caution, attracts many curious people.
