A town of excellence for lacemaking, Villedieu-les-Poêles enjoyed a golden age in lacemaking in the mid-19th century, when no fewer than 500 lacemaking specialists were employed. Launched in 2001, the École de la dentelle offers you the chance to learn the traditional techniques of splendid bobbin lace. Under the guidance of Maryline Lebois, an experienced lace-maker, you can choose between a discovery package or group courses, all of which must be booked in advance.
